New Sport Climbing in England and Wales - Volume 1, North

The popularity of sport climbing in the UK has exploded in recent years, resulting in a huge surge in bolting in many different areas of the country.  A new guidebook called Sport Climbing in England and Wales - Volume 1, North has just been published detailing 89 crags in the north of England and Wales.  It includes world-class crags such as Kilnsey, Malham and Raven Tor, the slate quarries of North Wales, plus a wealth of lesser-known bolted venues.

Sport Climbing in England and Wales - Volume 1, North describes more than 4,700 routes across a wide range of grades.  It covers 89 crags across Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire, the esoteric Filey sea cliffs, the Peak District, Cheshire, Clwyd limestone, the A55 and North Wales coast, and Llanberis slate.  Volume 2 covering the south of England and Wales will be published in the spring of this year.
