This guidebook describes 60 walks around the coastal and mountains of Crete, including the famous Samaria Gorge and Dead's Gorge with its Minoan palace grounds. These walking routes range from a pleasant walk across foothills through vineyards and olive trees, all the way up to some demanding peaks, over 2,000m high. Crete is a very mountainous island with 3 large mountain ranges, deep gorges and beautiful coastal regions.

All of the 60 walks described in this guidebook are full of diversity. Each walk is fully described accompanied with a map at a scale of either 1:50,000 or 1:75,000. GPS information for each walk can also be downloaded.
