Font A Bloc 1 describes over 5,000 boulder problems ranging from 6a up to 8c+. This first volume covers Rocher Du Calvaire, Mont Ussy, Rocher Cassepot, Rocher Saint German, & Rocher Canon, Cuvier, Apremont, Franchard Isatis, Franchard Cuisiniere, and Gorges Du Houx. Two further volumes are promised that will cover the other areas of Fontainebleau including around Milly la Foret.

At the start of each area there is a detailed overview map, including GPS co-ordinates for the parking areas. Symbols are used to describe the best time to visit, how good the parking is, number of problems covered, and how long the boulders take to dry after rain – very useful! All the problems are shown on hundreds of colour photo topos.

The guidebook is written by local expert Jacky Godoffe. Published in June 2010 this guidebook is in English text only.
