This Herefordshire and the Wye Valley Short Walks Guidebook describes 20 circular walks throughout Herefordshire and the Wye Valley, including Midsummer Hill, The Golden Valley, Marcle Ridge and Richard's Castle. Each walk is graded and is between 2 and 5.5 miles long.
For each route there is a detailed description, an extract of the OS Explorer map showing the route, plus information on parking, key things to see, and waypoints.
Herefordshire is a diverse county with the Black Mountains in the west, the Forest of Dean and the remarkable Wye Valley Gorge to the south and the Malvern Hills in the east. The guidebook includes walks in and around villages, modest strolls to farmyard chapels, Wye-side meadows and windswept hilltops, plus longer walks into the more remote corners of Herefordshire.
