Description

This is the comprehensive guidebook to the sea cliff climbing between Broad Haven and Tenby along a 15 mile stretch of the South Pembroke. The Stackpole and Lydstep area boasts three major, world class, climbing areas, which are Mowing Word, Stackpole Head and Mother Carey's Kitchen. Also included is the area around Penally which offers loads of exquisite slabs and easier-angled rock for those operating in the lower grades.

The guidebook includes all of the following crags: Monkstone Point, Tenby South Beach Quarry, Giltar Point, Giltar Slabs, Proud Giltar, Lydstep Point, White Tower, Mother Carey’s Kitchen, Skomar Towers, Forbidden Head, Stackpole Quay, Stackpole Head, Mowing Word, Gun Cliff, Raming Hole, and Saddle Bay.

The guidebook covers over 1,100 routes across a wide range of grades with all the routes are shown on colour photo topos along with detailed route descriptions. Also included is a 1:15 000 scale Harvey map on waterproof paper of the coast line covered by the guidebook, ensuring you won’t get lost.

Published in July 2012 by the Climbers Club, this is volume 5 of a set of 5 that covers the entire Pembrokeshire coast.
