This a selective guidebook describing some of the best scrambles and easy rock climbs to be found in the Lake District. 69 routes are described that vary from grade 1 scrambles to VDiff rock climbs ranging from the valley floor to mountain summits.

The book, written by two experienced rock-climbers, Jon Sparks and Judith Brown, also offers sound advice on how to get started and how to progress; routes that are safe in the wet, and those that should be saved for perfect conditions; and where to eat, drink and sleep between the ascents.

This guidebook was published in June 2011 with all the routes are shown on either colour photo topos or colour hand drawn topos.
