This guidebook describes 24 walks in the Tejeda, Almijara Y Alhama Mountains that lie behind the holiday towns of Nerja, Torre del Mar, and Almunecar on the Costa del Sol coast. These mountains in the Spanish region of Axarquía, comprise of 50 mountains over 1,000m high, with the highest, La Maroma at 2,080m high.

For each of the 24 graded walks (graded from 1 to 10) there is a detailed route description along with a map. The best time to walk in these beautiful mountains is from March to May and September to November. All of the routes in this guidebook can be walked in a day trip from Nerja, making this delightful coastal town a good place to be based.
