This Cicerone walking guidebook describes 43 circular day walks the north and east parts of the Yorkshire Dales. The guidebook explores the dales, hills and moors between Kirkby Stephen and Pateley Bridge, around the towns of Hawes, Grassington, Sedburgh, , Ingleton, Aysgarth, and Reeth.

The walking routes range from gentle 3 mile strolls to more strenuous day-long rambles across Howgills, Wensleydale, Swaledale, Nidderdale, Mallerstang and Coverdale. The scenery includes spectacular waterfalls, dramatic gorges, expansive heather moors, rich woodlands and colourful flower meadows are scattered amongst remote valleys and lonely hilltops.

Each walking routes has a detailed route description, plus OS mapping at a scale of 1:50,000. It also includes information on points of interest along the way, as well as necessary practical information.
