Volume 1 of 2 guidebooks it describes 69 challenging routes across 139 of the iconic 3000ft+ Munro Mountains. It covers areas such as Glencoe, Glen Shee, Bridge of Orchy and Mull, and includes routes up Ben More, Ben Alder, Ben Lomond and Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles.

The half-day and full-day walks and scrambles range from 7km to 48km long (with the option to reduce walking distance on some of the longer routes by cycling the approach). For each route there is a step-by-step description, accompanied by OS mapping at a scale of 1:100,000, plus information on difficulty, mapping, parking, access and nearby accommodation.
